This year, New Caledonia Trade & Invest has consolidated a strategic partnership with Club Export Réunion, to strengthen information exchanges, optimize networks and stimulate economic cooperation between our territories.
In continuity with this agreement and following an initial exploratory mission carried out in October, a multi-sector economic mission will be organized from June 6 to 12, 2026 in Réunion.
Mission objectives:
• Structured institutional meetings
• Targeted B2B appointments based on your needs
• Connections with Réunion economic players
• Exploration of a market of nearly 900,000 inhabitants, a true hub towards the Indian Ocean
Caledonian businesses – exporters, innovators, project holders or businesses in a diversification phase – this mission is designed to open new growth opportunities for you.
Looking back on the mission to French Polynesia

NCT&I recently organized a multi-sector economic mission in French Polynesia. It was on the program "Les Jeudis de l'économie" on Radio Rythme Bleu that Antoine De Palmas, co-president of the cluster, shared his perspective on this experience.
The two key takeaways from this mission:
• Exports as a bulwark against crises. This mission can enable Caledonian businesses to develop partnerships with Polynesian businesses.
• A method that works. The approach developed over recent months has proven its worth: joint multi-sector missions open doors through collective and complementary teamwork. This method will be repeated in future missions to other destinations.
At NCT&I, we believe in the power of the collective – and this mission is yet another illustration of that.
Economic Mission to La Réunion - Information Meeting

A multi-sector collective economic mission will take place in Réunion from June 10 to 17.
On this occasion, an information meeting was held at our offices to present to interested members the main lines of the trip, its logistical organization, institutional sessions, and the format of B2B meetings.
About twenty Caledonian businesses expressed interest in participating and prospecting for new collaborations within the NCT&I and Club Export Réunion partnership framework.

Welcome of Safia Ibrahim

At our last Board of Directors meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ibrahim Safia, Regional Director of the AFD – French Development Agency, and Eric LAFITTE, General Director of Arbé and NCT&I member.
This meeting provided an opportunity to share our 2026 orientations and identify possible synergies between the AFD and NCT&I for the benefit of French and Caledonian businesses in the region.
NCT&I was also able to highlight the difficulties encountered with certain AFD interventions, particularly during calls for projects.
Arbé shared its regional ambitions, which aligned with NCT&I's missions and actions.

Pacifika Festival in Auckland

Pasifika Festival – Auckland: New Caledonia in the spotlight.
At the Pasifika Festival in Auckland, one of the Pacific's greatest cultural gatherings, New Caledonia enjoyed great visibility thanks to the mobilization of its economic and cultural players.
Thanks to Cyril Capecchi who travelled there and took the time to support this initiative from the Government of New Caledonia through New Caledonia Tourism. A nod to our friend Christiane WANEISSI who is always present to fly the colors of our Pacific island. Thanks also to Cécilia Madeleine who handles operational coordination of the New Caledonia stand.
French Pacific Business Forum 2026 in Auckland

Last week, Auckland hosted the French Pacific Business Forum, 3rd edition, organized at the initiative of the Southern Pacific Employers' Representative (RPPS), held in partnership with the French New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNZCCI), with the support of the French Embassy in New Zealand and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Beyond B2B meetings, site visits and institutional exchanges, this forum confirms the growing interest in structured economic cooperation between New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Wallis-and-Futuna and New Zealand.
